Obama's favorite homophobe, one Rick Warren, has a new magazine take-off to go along with his incredibly popular book, The Purpose Driven Life, called the 'Purpose Driven Connection.'
A subscription includes “ access to a Facebook-like Christian social-media Web site and DVD guides for leading a prayer group.” No word yet on whether the social media site will allow users to identify themselves as "Interested In" the same sex.
I can't really imagine a lot of gays or allies subscribe to Reader's Digest, so that direct boycott is probably not so effective. But, the Reader's Digest Association, which is publishing Warren's venture, has over 92 magazines in it's roster, including Every Day with Rachel Ray. A more complete list is here. If you subscribe to any of these, shoot off an email of protest to the editor.

Shelby - I just saw your documentary and cried. You're a wonderful young woman and the world needs many more of you. I'm a married mom of a two year old and grew up in a family of four girls with two fairly conservative parents. The youngest of my sisters is gay. This has been an emotional year for us as my mom and one older sister lives in California and have been combating Prop 8 while most of my Catholic relatives have championed the "yes on 8" cause as they feel that it puts marriage in danger..sheesh. Your passion and work is much needed. Thank you for following your heart and thinking for yourself. I love your parents in the movie, they're dolls and you're luck to have them.
